Dewaxed 1st lemon shellac - 200g can
This can contains all you need to finish your guitar in shellac, the traditional finish for flamenco and classical guitars. It's also commonly used for classical stringed/ bowed instruments.
The lacquer consists of translucent yellow to bright orange-brown brittle flakes, It's soluble in alcohol, insoluble in water and only slightly soluble in acetone and ether. Shellac is a resin produced by insects that live on the branches of some trees in India. Raw shellac is collected from the tree, crushed and selected. It's then heated and compressed forming a plastic mass. By extending it thin sheets are formed and allowed to dry for subsequent cutting, which is how we find it in the market.
Shellac is hard and resistant and offers good covering quality. Its thin film has a high gloss that is resistant to abrasion and deterioration from UV rays.
