NUX AmpAcademy Amp Modeler

The AmpAcademy is an amp modeler that allows you to emulate the sounds of legendary guitar amplifiers: whether vintage or modern, whether American 'blackface' sounds, British or Californian combos, heads, and speaker cabinets - it offers an immense palette of sounds.

Each amp model can be directly adjusted using the physical volume, gain, and 4-band EQ controls. The pedal also features a boost function and noise reduction to boost or tame higher gain sounds. The "A/B" footswitch lets you choose between clean (channel A) or crunch (channel B) sounds. The "Scene" footswitch scrolls through three different presets and activates or deactivates the various additional effect signal blocks (NR, EFX, EQ, FX Loop, Reverb), allowing you to manage the sequence of sounds like a multi-effect.

When combined with an impulse response (IR), the signal can be sent to a guitar amplifier (preferably to the return input of an effects loop) or to the amplifier's input after the IR output jack has been deactivated using the dedicated switch. The signal can also be sent directly to a PA mixer or a loudspeaker (FRFR) via an XLR DI output. The impulse response can be deactivated at the XLR output using a footswitch when the pedal is engaged, and a ground switch can be selected for this balanced output. Audio or a backing track can be played via the aux input. The headphone output also allows silent practice.

In addition to legendary amplifiers, AmpAcademy also integrates guitar effects that allow you to easily edit and enhance your personal sound. Some effects can be physically configured on the pedal (NR, Boost, Reverb). Using the free editing software and USB connection, the effects can be further personalized and refined.

The AmpAcademy is designed for two areas of application: First, for direct handling and effective modeling of various amps. Easily navigate between presets and use the free editing software to customize, organize, and save all presets in detail! Furthermore, the audio interface can be used for recording and audio streaming!

The intuitive and user-friendly software allows you to precisely adjust all presets: adjust the power amp bias, manage the activation and order of effect blocks, and control parameters. Manage third-party impulse response (IR) downloads, export, or import presets. Practice with the rhythm machine and looper function (Drum&Loop), and use the audio interface for studio and recording applications.

For home studios and quiet practice, AmpAcademy's USB audio stream is a Swiss Army knife. Connect AmpAcademy to your computer via USB and easily record guitar tracks, use plug-ins, or stream live. In normal mode, you can loop backing tracks from your PC. In reamp mode, AmpAcademy offers four tracks for dry-out and re-amp recording applications.
