Amp in a Box! The NUX METAL CORE DELUXE MKII is a preamp pedal with three different high-gain guitar amplifier sounds: Duo Rect, Fireman, and VH 4. These models can be selected via a 3-way toggle switch.The Duo Rect is based on a familiar 90s American metal amp. A sound reminiscent of countless rock classics, from metal to punk to grunge, including Metallica, Tool, Korn, Soundgarden, Foo Fighters, and Blink-182.
The Fireman is based on the man behind the signature sounds of rock icons like Eddie Van Halen, Steve Stevens, and Jerry Cantrell. For over a decade, the BE circuit has been celebrated as the epitome of the highly tuned British sound.
The VH4 is based on the amp of the same name, which revolutionized the industry with its four-channel design and custom loops. This amplifier covers a wide range of sounds. It has a fat, articulate, and meaty sound that is loved by many guitarists. Because of its flexibility, the VH4 is used in many recording studios around the world.

Impulse responses (IRs) play an important role when playing without an amplifier, as they provide an authentic cabinet sound. Each of the amps included in the METAL CORE DELUXE MKII has a suitable IR.

You can load your favorite third-party IRs via the MetalCore editing software. Simply visit the product page and download the editor (METAL CORE DELUXE MKII supports an IR resolution of 512 samples). The MetalCore editing software will automatically convert the IR file (if it was uploaded in WAV format). If you don't have a computer handy, you can edit the pedal for live applications on the go with the EFX Mobile APP.
