ECC823 JJ Selected
(

)
Selected tubes for low noise and low microphonics. The ECC823 is a special tube to reduce gain. It replaces ECC83 / 12AX7 / 7025. The ECC823 consists of a triode ECC83 (pin 1-3) and a triode ECC82 (pin 6-8).The ECC82 side has significantly less gain than the ECC83 side. The ECC823 is therefore used to bring amplifiers with excessive gain down to a normal level. Many manufacturers (e.g. Fender, Marshall etc.) use the triode pin #6-8 as the input side, so that the ECC823 reduces the gain here.
